In the first episode, we explored the stories of how Indians arrived in America over several years. The next step is how they set up their lives and find work. That used to be tied closely to the American dream. But does the American Dream still exist today?

In this episode, we navigate how race and identity has shaped generations of Indian-Americans. We take you from a town that drove Indian immigrants out with sticks and stones to a town that's full of Indians. We speak to Deepa Iyer, a leading activist and author, Arjun Sethi, a human rights lawyer and acitivist, Reena Esmail, an award-winning musician and composer, and Sheetal Sharma, a finance professional.

In this episode, we dive into politics. We looked at how the political engagement of Indian Americans evolves from a time when it wasn’t cool to own your roots, to a time when a lawmaker shows us that it was. And for an immigrant community, we ask why it is that it doesn’t want its representatives to make immigration their top priority.
