On today's episode I will be talking with my grandmother, Loverle. Born in 1935, she has seen immense change in her lifetime, but also some events that seem to be repeating themselves. We will be discussing becoming a catholic/christian at 16 years of age, the difference in philosophy between christianity and catholicism, raising 7 children over a short period of time, and some thoughts on the civil rights movement of the 60's compared to today's movement. Technology was our foe today, but we made the most of it and enjoyed the conversation. I hope you do as well.

She's a wonderful human being with a wealth of experience and reflection that I have been wanting to interview for the podcast since it's inception. We will be discussing some lessons learned from growing up in a small town to now traveling the globe. Mira is a new friend and colleague. This podcast was as much about asking the predetermined questions as it was me getting to know someone new to my circle. She is immensely curious, and provides a prospective that I will continue to value and be grateful for.

In my first podcast, I'll be speaking with my cousin, Joe Ryan. He has been a close friend since childhood, and a best friend as we have both transitioned into our respective careers. The conversations that we have had over the last five to ten years have prompted deeper questions and reflection necessary for my growth as a human, and are a big reason why I was motivated to create this podcast. It only seemed fitting to start with Joe, and his wife Courtney, as my first guests.
