FOUR TECHNIQUES THAT WILL SKYROCK YOUR DECISION-MAKING PROCESS

FOUR TECHNIQUES THAT WILL SKYROCK YOUR DECISION-MAKING PROCESS

Indecisiveness is detrimental to acquiring any form of success in life.

The ability to make an effective decision promptly is vital to any successful accomplishment.

In this video, we will discuss four techniques that will Skyrock your decision-making process. Let's begin.

    #1. the 40-70% rule.

The retired four-star general and the former secretary of state, Colin Powell, describes the 40-70% rule as the sweet spot in decision-making.

The 40-70% rule says if you have less than 40% of the information, you should not make any decision; you should gather more information. However, do not wait until you have 100% of the information to take action. You should take action as soon as you have 40 to 70% of the information or the things you need.

In other words, less than 40% is gambling, but waiting to take action even after you have 70% of the information or the things you need is time-wasting.

If you are an indecisive person, this rule can help you make decisions more quickly.

    #2. Thinking before acting.

This technique consists of four questions you should ask yourself before making a decision:

what is the purpose of this decision?

What is the percentage of people who will benefit from this decision?

What is the percentage of people who will get hurt because of this decision?

Will the gains from this decision outweigh the losses?

Thinking and decision-making go hand in hand. The more focus your thoughts are, the better decisions you will make.

    #3.The Eisenhower's matrix.

Before Mr. Eisenhower became president of the united states in 1953, he was a general in world war 2. We can see why decision-making was critical to him; he came up with what we call today the Eisenhower matrix.

This decision-making technique is made of a four-quadrant graph.

Each quadrant is designated to a different project or goal depends on how important it is at the moment.

The first quadrant is labeled urgent and important; That's for what needs to be done right away.

The second quadrant is labeled important but not urgent; That's for things that don't need to be taken care of right away but must be done in the future.

The third quadrant is labeled not important, delegate; that's for the things you don't have to spend your time on; you can charge them to someone else.

The fourth quadrant is labeled not important, eliminate; that's for the

things you should stop doing and redirect your time to more important things.

This decision-making technique helps significantly in keeping your priorities in order.

    #4. The regret minimization framework.

The founder of Amazon and one of the richest men alive, Jeff Bezos, came up with a decision-making technique called "the regret minimization framework."

This technique is made of a simple but yet critical question.

Whenever you find it challenging to make a decision or to take action, ask yourself:

" In X number of years, will I regret taking this action( or not

    taking this action)?"

Mr. Bezos is right about this technique.

Having the least amount of regret as we grow older is fundamental for our peace of mind.

Those were four techniques to Skyrock your decision-making.

As always, before we go, here's our quote for today:

" We can not solve our problems with the same

level of thinking that created them."

    - Albert Einstein-

Health, peace, wealth, and happiness to you and yours.

TIPS AND TRICKS TO HELP YOU PAVE YOUR WAY TO A SUCCESSFUL LIFE

TIPS AND TRICKS TO HELP YOU PAVE YOUR WAY TO A SUCCESSFUL LIFE

Success has a different meaning to different people; With that thought in mind, in this short video, we will discuss some tips and tricks that will help you pave your way to a successful and prosperous life, regardless of what success means to you. Let's begin.

    #1. Know yourself.

As the famous Greek philosopher, Aristotle once said, "Knowing yourself is the beginning of all wisdom."

Know your strength and your weaknesses. Conduct a self-analysis to find out what social skills do you need to learn or improve on.

What bad habits are holding you back.

You cannot refine your strength and weed out your weaknesses until you know precisely what they are.

#2.Set goals and use them as a GPS.

Your success starts in your mind; therefore, you must have a clear vision of how successful you want to be five or ten years from now.

Write down your goals on paper and use them as a roadmap.

Make sure everything you do daily is aligned with your goals.

Until now, you've been helping your boss making his or her goals and dreams come true; Now, it's time for you to focus on your goals and dreams.

#3. Take action, now! (Do not wait for the perfect time)

the word "action" is originated from the Latin word "actionem," which means "A putting in motion."

Even the slightest action toward your goals and dreams starts a motion, a movement, a chain reaction to accomplishing those goals.

As long as you take action toward your goals, you will get the result.

That law is guaranteed as much as Isaac Newton's law of gravity.

Do not wait for the perfect time to pursue your goals and dreams.

The time will never be perfect. Start with what you have now; Better tools and opportunities will come along.

#4. Welcome failures, and learn from them.

No one is infallible. In your quest for success and a meaningful life, you will make mistakes, and you will fail, but that's only a part of the process.

If you're not failing, you're not learning enough. The more you fail, the more you learn, and the wiser you get.

Those were tips and tricks to help you pave your way to a successful

    and prosperous life.

As always, before we go, here's our quote for today:

"Character cannot be developed in ease and quiet.

only through the experience of trial and suffering can

the soul be strengthened, ambition inspired, and success achieved."

    - HELEN KELLER -

Health, peace, wealth, and happiness to you and yours.

May all your life's plans go without a hitch.

    Take care.

HOW TO BECOME AN EXCELLENT NEGOTIATOR

HOW TO BECOME AN EXCELLENT NEGOTIATOR

Certain skills are essential to our success in business, relationships, and in life in general. Negotiation is one of those skills.

In this video, we will discuss six negotiation techniques you must know before entering a negotiation.

#1. Do your homework. Gather all the information you can about what you're going to negotiate for.

For example, let's say you're going to buy a car. You should find out everything you can about that car, such as the difference between the manufacturer's price and the dealership's price. How many new features does the new model have? How many miles can you get per gallon of fuel? And so on.

Information is the blood of any negotiation. To negotiate successfully, you must be well informed about what you're going to negotiate for.

#2. Find out what the other party's needs are.

To be a good negotiator, you must be a good listener. in a negotiation; you must listen carefully to the other person's words to differentiate his need from his want.

As a real estate investor, I once bought a house from an elderly couple for almost half of what they asked for it, simply because I listened carefully and found out what they needed was some money to move to Florida as soon as possible for retirement.

Let's say you're negotiating for a banana; in your mind, you might think the other person wants the banana, but in reality, the other person might only want the banana peel or the skin of the banana.

Sometimes what you think the other party wants or needs in a negotiation is not always so.

Your negotiation will be more successful if you ask questions and listen carefully.

#3. never start any negotiation with the exact amount you're willing to accept or pay. Nine times out of ten, the other party will reject your first offer or asking price.

If you're the buyer, start with less than what you're willing to pay. If you're the seller, start with more than what you're willing to accept.

#4. Ignore the " price is fixed" trap.

There's no such thing as a "fixed priced." You are free to negotiate the price of anything and everything as much as you are free to breathe.

#5. Never, never show any sign of " I have to have it " in any negotiation, if you do, the other party will use that against you, and you will end up paying or giving up more than you are supposed to.

Instead, let the other party know (directly or indirectly) you are willing to walk away if you don't get what you want.

Even if you're in a desert and negotiating for water; Do not show any sign of "I have to have it." Calmness is essential in any negotiation.

    #6. Put it on paper.

At the end of any negotiation, whatever you and the other party agree on must be written on paper.

Never end up a successful negotiation with only a handshake.

You only get one shot at a successful negotiation. If you got what you wanted, do not give the other party the opportunity to reverse that outcome.

Until the agreement is on paper and signed, the negotiation is not over.

Before we go, here's our quote for today.

    “The future has many names.

    For the weak, it's unattainable.

    For the fearful, it's unknown.

    For the bold, it's ideal”.

    Victor Hugo

Health, peace, wealth, and happiness to you and yours.

May all your life's plans go without a hitch.

    Take care.
