Because it was in the fields and battle fields that prepared for the throne. This week we will see what it means to be faithful to God, particularly when it would have been tempting to take the easy way out.

Even in Israel’s faithlessness, God was faithful. God chose and anointed David as King, not because of earthly standards or accomplishments, but because he was one after God’s heart. Jesus was God’s anointed King to rule and redeem his people but was not recognized by his peers either.
