    20. Hopes and Dreams for Our Children with Tiffani Casey

    20. Hopes and Dreams for Our Children with Tiffani Casey

Whether you're a parent of toddlers, teenagers, or adults, it's natural to have hopes and dreams for our children. What college will they attend, will they attend college, their health, their relationships and friendships, and more, are topics parents can catch themselves dreaming of. But what in life truly matters and how can we instill dreams for our children that last a lifetime and point them in the direction to become more of the person God wants them to be?

In this conversation, Angie and Tiffani discuss the things they want for their kids. They talk about the importance of teaching kids to be themselves, have great friends, and find a spouse who helps them work through their stuff. They also emphasize the value of reading, music, and the arts in their children's lives. Overall, their goal is to raise children who love God, appreciate others, and live fulfilling lives.

    19. Self-Sacrificing with Amanda Mejias and Tega Faafa

    19. Self-Sacrificing with Amanda Mejias and Tega Faafa

Are you in a season in life where you're on the line to trying something that just seems too hard? A goal you want to achieve? A task you want to accomplish? This conversation is for you! Today I sit down with Tega Faafa and Amanda Mejias and as Gen Z-er and millennial, they have a phenomenal perspective of why we tend to shy away from the hard, how that impacts our sanctification process, and how we can overcome it when Christ lives in us!

Tega Faafa is the Brand Owner and Content Editor for Hyfi Students. She lives in the metro Atlanta, Georgia area and has worked with various churches, camps, and conferences as a teacher/speaker, spoken word artist, and host. Tega loves sharing with others how God is relevant to today’s culture, and how doing life with Jesus changes every part of our lives. Outside of ministry, Tega is a huge thrifter, loves fashion, podcasting, music, pop culture, TikTok, reading on her Kindle, and exquisite coffee! To follow up on what she’s up to, check out her website: tegafaafa.com.

Amanda Mejias serves as the Lifeway Girls Brand Specialist, and she is passionate about equipping church leaders as they minister to and disciple teen girls. Amanda feels like she is living a dream, especially with her husband and their daughter at her side. She is also always down to hear a cheesy joke, grab coffee, and talk about golden retrievers. Amanda holds her master’s degree from Liberty University’s Rawlings School of Divinity.

    18. Taming the Tongue with Amy-Jo Girardier

    18. Taming the Tongue with Amy-Jo Girardier

Get your steel-toed boots on ladies, because Amy-Jo and I are about to step on some toes! We kick off this conversation by playing a game, "Gossip, or Not Gossip?!" There's no doubt that gossip can be a tricky subject. When is it okay to confide in a friend, and when are you crossing the line and sinning? With the Word of God continuosly warning us about gossip, we didn't want to leave anything on the table! We share our own experiences, what we've learned, and how we are still working through our santification process.

Amy-Jo Girardier loves getting to disciple girls and women in her local church. She has served as Girls Minister for 19 years at Brentwood Baptist in Brentwood, TN. She currently is serving as the Women’s Minister. She is an author of 3 Lifeway bible studies and loves writing resources for teen girls, and women.  www.lifeway.com/jamesteengirl is her newest resource and she is a contributor of the new bible study for Lifeway women https://www.lifeway.com/alive.
In addition to ministry, Amy-Jo loves all things technology, drinking coffee, running, serving on staff with her husband Darrel and being with their two boys: Scout and Skylar. And they have a brand new frenchi puppy named Jarvis. She is finishing her Master in Theological Studies this month from Southwestern Theological Seminary. 17. Strongholds and Blindspots with Lisa Whittle

    17. Strongholds and Blindspots with Lisa Whittle

By definition, strongholds are well-fortified places - which can sound like a positive thing, unless they are well-fortified fortresses of sin you've built! On today's show of Let It Shine Lisa Whittle and I hash out what strongholds are, how to identify them, and how we can surrender them to the Lord. This conversation is filled with vulnerability as we discuss our own strongholds, and how we've had friends expose blindspots to us as well.

Be sure to follow me, Angie, on instagram and see the three questions you can ask yourself to identify the strongholds in your life! Thanks for listening and sharing this episode with a friend!

    16. Family Habits with Lynley Mandrell

    16. Family Habits with Lynley Mandrell

As a mom of three kids, one of my favorite things to do is hear from other moms what's working and not working for them. I love hearing about the rhythms, routines, and habits that different families have creatd and formed to help them build the home and family they desire to have. One of my favorite people to talk about this topic with is Lynley Mandrell.

Lynley is one of the most intentional and strategic people I know, so when it comes to habits and routines, she's the perfect person to talk to! In fact, Lynley cohosts The Glass House Podcast with her husband, Ben, and they have an entire episode on the topic of family values, rythyms, and routines!

We know that no two families are the same and certainly none of us are perfect! We hope this episode encourages you and inspires you to make small changes to be intentional in building the family and home you know God wants you to have!

    15. Tending the Temple vs. Body Positivity with Whitney Capps

    15. Tending the Temple vs. Body Positivity with Whitney Capps

Body positivity is a social movement that promotes a positive view of all bodies, regardless of the shape, size, weight, etc. But we want to take it deeper. Yes, we can accept our bodies the way they are to an extent, but we are here to talk about the fact that we also have a responsibility to our bodies. Today, Whitney Capps and I have a vulnerable conversation about our own unique journeys, the complexities of our bodies, the messages we tell ourselves about them, and how we function in them as temples of the Holy Spirit.

Go follow both of us on Instagram and share your thoughts on body positivity. Thanks for listening and sharing this episode with a friend!
