Africa contributes less than 4% to the global greenhouse gas emissions but is a continent worst impacted by climate change. The African Development Bank has promised to mobilise US$25bn billion in climate finance over the next three years. This is not going nearly enough for Africa to counter the risk of droughts, floods and desertification that threatens its future.
