Blueprint for a Nation by Lim Lip Yong - 2020-08-08

Blueprint for a Nation by Lim Lip Yong - 2020-08-08

On this National Day weekend, it's appropriate for us to consider the prototype nation of Israel in the Old Testament. The Jewish people came out of slavery in Egypt as a motley crew of people. They had no trained army, no public administrators, no institutions of learning, no legal framework, no currency and most importantly, no land to inhabit. No other nation in the history of mankind, except for Israel, was constituted before they possessed any land. Yet in over 400 years, they became the foremost nation in the Middle East during the days of King Solomon. The constructs and blueprint that God gave to the Jewish people for building a nation remain viable and relevant in our days. These same principles should guide us on how to pray for our nation so that we may continue to prosper and flourish.

David’s Last Battle by Yang Tuck Yoong - 2020-08-01

David’s Last Battle by Yang Tuck Yoong - 2020-08-01

King David fought countless battles in his lifetime as a warrior-king, but at the end of his days, he had one last battle to fight and that was against coldness. The Bible warns in Matthew 24 that because lawlessness will abound, the hearts of many will grow cold. The battle of the last days is a battle against spiritual coldness. As we approach the final phase in our own lives, one of the things we’re going to have to battle against is this. It’s true for the individual, but also for the Church. Find out in this compelling message what it takes to keep spiritual coldness at bay and our fires burning hot for God!

The Angel of Circumcision by Yang Tuck Yoong - 2020-07-25

The Angel of Circumcision by Yang Tuck Yoong - 2020-07-25

The God we serve is a Covenant God. All through the Bible, we see Him making covenants, not contracts, with people. One of the most significant covenants He made in the Old Testament was with the Children of Israel – sealed by the obedient act of circumcision. Without which, the Israelites could not inherit the full promises of God and neither could they please Him. The principle of spiritual circumcision remains a powerful one in our day and applies to every believer who seeks to progress towards perfection in their walk with God. It is voluntary and something which we must decide to let the Spirit of God do in our hearts.

A New Normal by Lim Lip Yong - 2020-07-18

A New Normal by Lim Lip Yong - 2020-07-18

The Covid-19 pandemic has impacted the whole world and changed many ways in which things are done. Our lifestyles and norms have all been disrupted. Eventually, this pandemic will pass, but when it does, do we expect things to go back to the same as before? More likely than not, there will be changes that will become permanent. In the same manner, church has to change as well. While there will be changes in our methodology, the greatest change that God wants to effect in us isn’t about methods. He wants to refocus us on the things that go much deeper – on things that are truly important.

The Crucified Life by Yang Tuck Yoong - 2020-07-11

The Crucified Life by Yang Tuck Yoong - 2020-07-11

A preacher once described religion as hanging around the Cross, but Christianity is getting on it. The Cross is the centrality of all we’re called to as believers. Without it, we’ve nothing except what Timothy calls "a form of godliness without the power" (2 Tim 3:5). Just as our Saviour and Lord embraced the Cross for us, He calls us to take up our Cross and follow Him. Our crucified Lord will have nothing short of a crucified bride.
