My father committed suicide and my mother left us for another man

My father committed suicide and my mother left us for another man

Humans of IT companies presents "Maggie Wali Didi" My father committed suicide when I was three years old. My mother left me and my brother alone when I was seven. I started taking care of my brother by managing my studies, working two jobs. I remember ,there was this one month where I had just survived on water but I made sure that my brother had enough food to keep his stomach full. Growing up as a girl with no parents or relatives support was very difficult. Since I did educate myself well enough, I tried applying to the IT companies for a little more than a menial job but nothing seemed to be working as I had expected. I landed as a housekeeper, I had cleaned people's houses and washed dishes. I made sure that wherever I go ,I learn something and keep people happy. I always love making everyone laugh and giggle. I still can't save any money for myself, my brother spends all my money and doesn't even work at any place. Few years back I fell in love with one guy and for a girl who had never received any love right from her childhood, this love that I felt after so long was extremely magical to me. But it seems that happiness is not written in my fate, he has stopped caring about me. The company that I am working on as a cook and the cashier is only because of him, I love him deeply but if he doesn't respond to my love back, I might leave this place in search of an another job. I would prefer to die alone than to be with anyone else except him.

He left IT Industry To Serve God

He left IT Industry To Serve God

Leaving IT Industry to serve God was not something that happened instantly. When I was in college, I experienced ragging. I got extremely scared so I started looking for temples to find some solace. I did my research and found out about this Iscon temple in Gaziabad. There I met one spiritual man who asked me if I wanted to dance in the temple along with them, I couldn't resist myself and immediately agreed to it. He then told me about one senior who has devoted his entire life to serve God Krishna. Since I was extremely sacred of meeting any seniors of my college, I immediately said "No", but that man convinced me to meet that senior for at least once and the moment I met him, my life took a big U turn. I was so overwhelmed with the idea of serving my entire life to others and the God that I immediately knew what I had to do in my life. I told the idea to my parents, they went totally against it. My brother is already in the Indian Army, so I can understand what pain my parents felt when I told them about my future but I only asked my mom and dad to be courageous, to be proud of what I am going to do for the people, for the sake of humanity. I told her that if you being a mother sacrifice your both sons, that sacrifice will help rest of mothers who live in this world. My parents finally agreed to my life choices and I couldn't get more happy about it.
