Imagine listening in on these raw, unfiltered conversations with real couples… One partner is in $300,000 in debt, but shrugs it off. The other cries at night, anxious about the future. A couple that’s so worried about money, they never feel they’ll have enough. When they eat out, they order chicken instead of steak to save $10. Their household income: $600,000. Two parents who feel overwhelmed by work, kids, and debt. When I ask them how they’d describe their lives, they instantly say the same word: “Stuck.” Ramit Sethi asks the questions we wish we all could ask, presenting a totally different philosophy on money: • Spend extravagantly on the things you love, as long as you cut costs mercilessly on the things you don’t. • Ask $30,000 questions, not $3 questions. • A Rich Life is more than math -- it’s mastering your money psychology. From the author of the bestselling book, ‘I Will Teach You To Be Rich,’ learn how money psychology affects these couples… and how to create your own Rich Life.

Absolutely mind-opening!

I've been following Ramit for a decade now, so of course I was super excited when he launched the IWT podcast. And it sure doesn't disappoint! I've been enjoying every episode so far. Even though I'm not currently in a relationship, the nuggets of wisdom Ramit shares throughout the podcase has allowed me to reflect on my own money values, and also think back on how my parents dealt with money.

There is so much more to learn in these episodes, other than money psychology. The way the conversations are facilitated is really insightful. There's definitely much about communication skills to learn and distill as well. I especially love the parts when Ramit gives short explanations on why he's asking a particular question, or why the discussion is going in a certain direction.

All in all, it's like an exclusive behind the scenes look into a couple's finances, and every episode is a VIP backstage pass. Looking forward to more!

While I like this podcast…

While I enjoy this podcast, it blows my mind what Americans do with their money. BUT it drives me nuts that INFLATION is never mentioned. Every time Ramit says “That is 1.2 million when you are 60.” I am like yea and when you are 60, that 1.2 million is probably only worth 600k in today’s money at an inflation rate of 2.5%. Nice but not an amount I did call RICH. Probably doesn’t make for good podcasting/ television though…

I’ve learnt so much

I’ve been following Ramit’s work for a while and will objectively say this podcast is of top notch quality. It’s free of charge yet delivers so much quality. The psychology of money is a topic he explores and unpacks with skill and I’ve had useful takeaways myself.
