Episode 49 - Stop buffering : How to stop overeating
Overeating is one of the most common forms of buffering. Almost everyone buffers with food.
While food is meant to nourish our body, we are using food to escape our negative emotions.
We buffer /with food to get momentary pleasure. e.g. when we are feeling emotionally drained, we eat food to help us feel better.
This pleasure from food comes at a cost. When we keep buffering, we end up being overweight, feel lethargic and suffer from severe health issues.
Food also becomes a distraction. It distracts us from the negative emotions which are trying to give us valuable information about expanding our lives.
We miss the message these emotions came to tell us while creating negative outcomes for us from all the extra food we eat that our bodies don’t need.
In this episode, you will learn three simple steps to stop overeating. This is the simplest way to lose weight and become fit. In addition, you will learn to master your emotions and expand your life as you implement these steps.
This approach is different from anything you may have tried or heard before. It doesn’t require strict diet plans or too much of exercising. It focuses on eliminating your over desire for food making it easier to sustain the weight loss forever.
Here’s the best part – the same three steps you use to stop overeating are equally applicable to stop overdrinking, overnetflixing, overspending or any other form of buffering you are doing.

Episode 48 - Stop Buffering. Start Living
Do you drink when you feel frustrated ? Do you eat ice-cream when you feel sad ? or Do you scroll endlessly on social media when you actually want to be working?
Then you are buffering,. Buffering is when you do something to escape your negative feelings so you can feel better in the moment.
But this creates a negative consequence for us. We end up paying a huge price for feeling better momentarily.
What’s worse - It shifts our focus away from the real problem and solving it.

We often chase big goals in life, we want to gain more materialistic possessions. Why? Because we think those things make us feel happy, secure and fulfilled.
But this model teaches us that circumstances don’t cause our feelings, our thoughts about those circumstances do. Our thoughts do not depend on us achieving any goals or gaining materialistic possessions.
Model teaches us that not only can we feel all the good feelings we want to experience today, in fact feeling those feelings today is what’s going to help fuel us into taking inspired actions to achieve our goals with ease.
