In 2017, Pelly Crossing was the site of the brutal killing of Derek Edwards, carried out by a pair of dirtbag sisters, Charabelle and Lynzee Silverfox. Errors in the investigation led to the two sisters initially getting off of first-degree murder charges, and sadly, resulted in a second murder; that of Chelsey Bien.
