It's News, Jim - 4 August 2020 Motoring Podcast - News Show

    • Automotive

This week Alan is joined by Daniel Puddicombe for a dash through the last fortnight's top news stories.
We have some Dieselgate follow up, lots of senior executives moving around or standing aside, the COVID impacts on JLR, Mitsubishi pulling from Europe, a report calling for advertising bans on large and polluting vehicles, a large drop in fuel tax revenue whilst we all stayed at home, government consultation on improvements and clarifications to the Highway Code and a survey saying that parking sensors may be detrimental to safety (you'll need a large pinch of salt to accompany that last one!).
We also talk about the return of Formula E, the history of the 2CV, a key Peugeot designer moving across to Renault, 3-spoke wheels and the Gordon Murray T50.

As ever, we really hope you enjoy the show and feel free to give us feedback on how we could make it better!
