Episode 8 - The Newspapers
Aaaaaaand we're back! It's certainly been a while. Sorry about that, exams, assessments, and all that jazz got in the way! In today's episode, we talk about Newspapers, their biases, and even which ones we read. We also touch a little on the problems that Newspaper media have caused in the past, as well as the scandals they've been involved in, not only reporting, but participating in. Also, it's just us again this week, but we will be having some special guests on at some point in the future!

Special Episode - 23/03/2021
So we decided to do a special episode, where all three of us take some time off wholly discussing politics and instead discuss life, and a little bit of politics too. In this episode we talk about C*vid; the Census 2021; why God won't be listening to our podcast; and cycling helmets, plus many more things. We don't really have any recommendations this week, apart from Jay Foreman's YouTube channel (Alex Woodward's idea).
We've also put some links down in the description if any of you need to talk to someone about life at the moment.

Episode 7 - The B Word
Let us take you back to before the C-word was everyone's topic of conversation, to a time where the B-word was everyone's favourite conversation topic. Yes, in this episode we are talking about all things Brexit! We even have a guest, Josh, so that we can address the leave/remain imbalance of our regular co-hosts. In the episode, we give a small background on the Brexit referendum, but mostly we just argue about leaving vs remaining and our reasons for being on each side. Alex T-B and Josh argue for Leave and Maeve and Alex W argue for Remain. It sure is an episode for disagreements.

Episode 6 - The Northern Ireland Special
The first episode in our special double upload! In this episode Maeve has seemingly swapped in for Alex Woodward, it wasn't intentional, it's just how our schedules all worked out. But to replace the loss that is Alex, we have brought in a guest!! Yes, at the time he was University Radio York's Head of News but is now the Head of News and Sport, and seasoned radio professional William King joins us on the podcast.
In this episode, we do discuss a lot about Northern Irish politics, including The Troubles, the governance of Northern Ireland, and the parties of Northern Ireland. We even look forward to the 2022 Northern Irish Assembly Election and give our thoughts on the future of Northern Ireland.

Episode 5 - Current Affairs and the Minor Parties
Unfortunately, you've been left with just the two Alexs in this week's episodes, Maeve was off ill for the recording session. But in this episode, we aim to give a quick overview of current affairs and a brief description of where the seven biggest parties (Tories, Labour, Lib Dems, Greens, SNP, Plaid Cymru and Reform/UKIP) lie in terms of their ideologies. We even give our election predictions for 2024 and even talk about our favourite minor parties. Also in this episode both Alex's agree (we know Maeve would also agree too) that UKIP should just stop.

Episode 4 - Explaining the Political Spectrum
Unfortunately, you've been left with just the two Alexs in this week's episodes, Maeve was off ill for the recording session. But in this episode, we aim to give a quick explanation of the political spectrum and how you can find out where you lie on it. In the episode, we explain what we mean when we talk about left-wing/right-wing; left-of/right-of-centre; centre-left/right, and what these positions are based on.
