Somatic Healing - Awakening To Your Truth with Zahara Jade, M.A.

Somatic Healing - Awakening To Your Truth with Zahara Jade, M.A.

Are our wounds the key to our awakening? Is it possible to be free from, and emboldened by our past, rather than weighed down by it?
In this week’s conversation with Somatic Therapist and Awakening Coach Zahara Jade, M.A., founder of The Truth Catalyst, we dive into her story of personal transformation. For the first twenty-five years of her life she was consumed by a rare, crippling autoimmune illness and intergenerational trauma. She takes us on her journey where at the age of 27, she was healthy for the first time in her life.
    What was the catalyst?
Zahara shares her experience working with a somatic therapist to find the answers. In the process she released the roots of disease that had been trapped in her body and built a life design that supported total wellness in mind, body, and spirit.
Today Zahara guides individuals on Somatic Journeys™ to transform trauma and awaken their authentic selves. She has worked with hundreds of clients around the world to help them overcome everything from anxiety, chronic illness, chronic pain, depression, anxiety, suicidal ideation, and lack of purpose.

Past Life Healing and Karmic Astrology with Chelsea Jewel

Past Life Healing and Karmic Astrology with Chelsea Jewel

Can we use astrology to see where our souls have been in past lives? What is karmic astrology and how do we use it to support our healing and soul growth?
In this conversation with Astrologer, Intuitive and Spiritual Coach, Chelsea Jewel, I get a taste of her past life reading and healing experience by taking a look at the karma, patterns and trauma I’m carrying - and WOW - what she uncovers is incredibly spot on. She does this in her practice to support clients that have a particular pattern, relationship issue, or challenging situation they’ve been facing and can't figure out how to get past it.
Chelsea shares processes and ideas for finding our way back to our own intuition, inner power and unique soul gifts. Her passion is helping women gain clarity on the unique gifts they possess and how they can apply those gifts to create a meaningful life full of excitement and purpose.
In this episode we discuss what exactly karma is, tips for finding your soul path, how we know what needs to be healed from past lives, how to know when you are stuck in a past karmic pattern, and themes that are arising in past life readings most often in today’s times.

Shadow Work: Accepting the Darkness and Letting the Healing Begin

Shadow Work: Accepting the Darkness and Letting the Healing Begin

It's hard to be held down when you can't be shamed, belittled or humiliated.
In this solo episode, an incredibly vulnerable one for me, I'm sharing my experience with doing shadow work. I'm sharing a story from my 15 year old self - a girl that was a straight A student, cheerleader and student council rep, who - to hide her insecurities - resorted to some pretty ugly behaviors.
What is "shadow work" exactly? In Jungian psychology, the "shadow” refers to the unconscious aspects of our personality.
More simply stated: the shadow is our “dark side.” It’s the emotions that we likely wish or sometimes deny that we have. It’s things like: jealousy, selfishness, greed and rage - it’s ‘bad’ behaviors like binging, cheating, stealing and lying.
When we deny that we have these feelings they get relegated into our dark side. When we tell ourselves stories that involve pity, blame and shame - that’s the stuff that gets packed deep inside.
When we ignore those parts of us, we often fall away from our purpose and integrity. If we're not honest with ourselves we can't be honest with others - and getting honest is how the freedom starts to arise within us.
I'll share my process for learning to acknowledge and accept shadow with compassion, acceptance, and self love, without spiritual bypassing along the way.

Conscious As A Mother: Exploring Body Image and the Journey to Motherhood with Karsyn Dupree

On any purpose filled path there are beautiful highs and scary lows - in today’s conversation we go there. (TW) In this episode, Karsyn Dupree - a mama, artist and wellness enthusiast - and I share personal stories about finding our way through disordered eating and mental health challenges including anorexia and panic disorder.
I hope you’ll listen with an ear for healing. There’s an opportunity in this conversation to dig deep into the soul and face the shadow, touching the darkest parts of ourselves. Karsyn and I share how we each came through the fire to move closer to our true purpose.
Karsyn’s world includes a variety of spiritually connected passions. Creativity, Spirituality and The Myth of the Starving Artist with Callahan Woodbery

Creativity, Spirituality and The Myth of the Starving Artist with Callahan Woodbery

How do creativity and spirituality intersect? According to Callahan Woodbery - a creative coach, and aesthetic alchemist - it begins by inhaling inspiration and then exhaling your creative gifts for the world to interact with.
Callahan’s art takes many shapes: she is an essayist, photographer, and printmaker who draws her inspiration primarily from her travels and excursions into the natural world.
One of the things that comes through so vibrantly in her work is her belief that our relationship to the Earth directly influences our relationship with our community, our creativity, and our sense of self. She’s a nature mama, and in her work she channels the voice of mother nature beautifully.
In this episode we discuss how being in the outdoors is the ultimate creative muse, what growing up in a family of artists is like, discovering that you can in fact be paid for your passions, the myth of the starving artist, the five guidelines for creative living, and even whether or stealing ideas as a way to spark inspiration (so taboo!).
Callahan reminds us that connecting to our creative process is a deeply spiritual endeavor.

Ancestral Healing & Mastering Your Spiritual DNA with Black Girl Magik’s Shydeia Caldwell

Ancestral Healing & Mastering Your Spiritual DNA with Black Girl Magik’s Shydeia Caldwell

Wonder what it’s like to have your first spiritual encounter with an angel in your grandmother’s bedroom when you’re just a babe? Or how growing up with women who could heal your ails via kitchen concoctions and magical garden ingredients will shape you?
In this episode I’m interviewing Spirit-led Guide and Wellness Educator Shydeia Caldwell, and she's taking us to the school of ancestral healing.
We discuss Shydeia’s process of guiding women into “self initiation” - a ceremonial practice designed to support women in accessing their inner power. We talk about the divine duality of surrender and inspired action, something I find Shydeia balances beautifully as she works to nurture her community.
Shydeia’s exploratory processes guide Black people in anchoring into the roots of their heritage and personal power. In our conversation she shares her offerings from spirit alchemy to working with altars and she gives us tips and on how we can begin to create our own ancestral connections.
Shydeia is the co-founder of Black Girl Magik and is actively crowd-funding and building a digital sanctuary which will weave spirituality and mental health through an entirely new approach to online wellness and education for Black women.
