He served as a military police officer, deploying to Panama, the Gulf War, and Cuba. Following his military service, Pat transitioned directly into the corporate world, securing a position at Johnson & Johnson. He then spent a significant portion of his career in the medical device sector.
At a pivotal moment, faced with the choice of further corporate advancement or charting his own path, Pat embraced entrepreneurship. He founded About-Face Development, where he now serves as an independent consultant. His expertise lies in identifying management and leadership gaps within his clients' organizations. Pat leverages his 25 years of industry experience and the leadership skills honed during his military service to design and deliver impactful content for his clients.

Pat DAmico, Founder and CEO of About-Face Development, has over 30 years of leadership and training experience. He is a veteran, a master facilitator, and graduate of the Berkeley Executive Coaching Institute. Working in Fortune 500 companies including Johnson & Johnson and Medtronic, as well as start-ups and the US Army, Pat’s leadership roles have included sales, commercial operations, recruiting, and training. Pat’s passions for the study of leadership, driving organizational success, and teaching, have led to his career focus in L&D. He holds an MS in Education and a BA in World Politics.
Pat is a frequent speaker and author on topics related to learning & development and leadership. His firm, About-Face Development, is focused on bringing its clients customized solutions to advance performance.
