#Episode 6 - Fat Man To Ironman Coach Marshy Running Podcast - Getting Out The Door

#Episode 6 - Fat Man To Ironman Coach Marshy Running Podcast - Getting Out The Door

So getting out the door and getting started is what I am referring to. I think I happens to us all at some point – a phase of it, regularly, whatever level

    - Always something else to do?

    - Procrastination

    - 3 main points which I know I personally suffer with when getting out the door and many I have coached

    - When these 3 things are right I have personally found I don’t suffer from “finding it hard to get out the door”

    - The psychology I find fascinating – when you are out there thing change very quickly

    - Start to feel better

    - Enjoy the surroundings

    - Feel like you could run for a long time

    - Start planning your training for future weeks

    - Kick yourself you didn’t get out sooner

#Episode 5 - Fat Man To Ironman Coach Marshy Running Podcast - There can't be many this happened to?

For only the second time in history the NYC marathon wouldn’t take place.  The first in 2012 due to hurricane sandy and also in 2020 due to the Covid pandemic. And yes I was due to be on the start line on both occasions. It makes me ask the question? How many other who were going to attempt the vent back in 2012 hadn’t yet been back to try and we also meant to be on the start line? There can’t be many of us? 2012 – the story – the right decision – making it count day out with dad - I went on to do my first marathon in 2013. 2020 – the story – made sense Reggie, new nephew, family house – Covid – right decision

#4 Fat Man To Ironman Coach Marshy Running Podcast - part 1 of running challenges

For me since my finding of running in 2009 but my light bulb moment in 2010 I have always loved the idea of a new running challenge. The next level, the next distance, motivation for me. What about you? What is your motivator? It doesn’t have to be the why, but what is it that is really going to get you to make it out the door?
