Not Another World Max Bremer and Dylan Kempton

Well folks, this is our longest one yet. We mainly talk about Skyrim, Joseph Campbell's archetypal Hero's Journey, and subjects that were barely topical when we recorded and extremely outdated now. We also spend an inordinate amount of time trying to piss off as many fandoms as we can. Somewhere in there we also find the time to discuss Episode 8 of In Another World With My Smartphone. This episode marks a new low for the anime, but dear reader, we are on a fierce downward descent with absolutely no brakes. Buckle up, because it's going to get rough.

On this one, the lads talk about hot pockets, Mat Pat, a gamer eucharist, and Turing machines. And probably they talk about the seventh episode of the show as well. Strap in, because this is a long one.

Well, the audio is scuffed on this one. Sorry everyone. We've done our best to edit this into a listenable form, but there's only so much we can do with our current technology. The issue is a lot better on episode 6, and completely resolved by episode 7.
Regardless, this is the episode in which Touya and the girls discover (and then completely eradicate) a new species of slimes, which leads to a number of scenes that are viscerally unpleasant. Later, Touya decides to go shopping and mansplain explosions to a wizard. It's a rough one y'all, so buckle up.

We're back, baby! And this time we're looking at Episode 4 of In Another World With My Smartphone. We talk about gross incompetence, whole new layers of the Touya conspiracy, the right way to pray, and how to fix a subpar murder mystery. Ironically, we also had some audio problems with one of the mics, which is why the sound quality is a bit lower; just take it as dedication to the gross incompetence bit.

In the (somewhat delayed) third episode of the podcast, Max and Dylan look at the third episode of In Another World With My Smartphone. Basically, in this episode of the anime, there's a lot of Shogi and bad archaeology and then the episode ends. Despite that, the boys manage to talk about caveman videogames, buying a coat with Obama, and uncovering some of the punctuation-based secrets of the world's magic system.
