Our region has a reputation for being a hub for human trafficking. But recently South Simcoe Police honoured several officers for their work on Project Chameleon which saw the arrests of 8 people and the rescue of three survivors.

2) Barrie Baycats Home Opener
It was a close one last year, but ultimately the Barrie Baycats fell short of the championship. Excitement has been on the rise for this season as they head into their home opener against the Toronto Maple Leafs tonight.

3) Razors Of Hope
He's doing it again! Barrie's Jason Helmond is gearing up for another year of Razors Of Hope. He's getting ready to shave his head to support the Terry Fox Foundation. This year he is joined by the former chair of the local Terry Fox Run, Patrick Scott, who is ready to shave his beard.

4) Barrie's MS Walk
Multiple Sclerosis is unpredictable. It is an auto-immune system disorder where the body attacks itself and over 90 thousand Canadians are living with it. Barrie's MS Walk is happening May 26 at Heritage Park this year to show support.
