If it doesn’t make sense, don’t do it!Learn new habits and let go of the ones that were holding you back.Be willing to embrace the outcome.Stop complaining; stop making excusesPrioritize me time. {If you keep thinking about it, bring it to life.Treat every 24 hours as if it were your last and invest in your dream The idea doesn’t have to be fully realized for me to take actionCuriosity and being passionately obsessed will take you places.Am I better today than yesterday? There is never a better time to do it than the time you think about it.Apply action and discipline, and see how your life evolves right in front of your face.Train your mind to handle pressure instead of instantly freaking out when something happens.People will think you are a genius and need your recipe to succeed.Create your own recipes and ways of doing things.“Learning how to make the most out of our 24 hours a day will help us tremendously make the most out of every year.”“2023 was a personal growth or personal development year for me.”

Hawa, Chief of the Civil Society Unit at the Department of Global Communications has extensive United Nations headquarters and field experience designing advocacy and outreach initiatives that foster partnerships on global issues with stakeholders, with an emphasis on youth and women’s organizations. Hawa began her United Nations career in 1986 in the Department of Public Information (now known as Department of Global Communications) and has served in two United Nations Peacekeeping Operations in Cambodia and Somalia.

She has also worked for the United Nations Human Settlements Programme (UN- Habitat) in Nairobi, Kenya as an Associate Human Settlements Officer in the Partners and Youth Section, where she created programmes to empower young people and women living in urban and rural areas.
