In her mid 30’s is one of the few female African American rabbis in the United States, after a lifelong spiritual journey from her parents’ Southern Baptist roots. A young Rabbi who exudes a joyous and enlivened expression of Judaism and who is committed to connection across generations and across communities.

Converted to Judaism in her early 40’s. Brought up Baptist in a Washington, D.C. middle-class household. Became enamored of Moses through the local corner grocer's stories. Now Adjunct Lecturer at Howard University and author of "Nappy Hair”
