You know those movies that you loved as a kid? What ever happened to them? Maybe you remember grabbing a random VHS cover off the shelves at Blockbuster, but you can't quite remember the title. Or perhaps you loved a strangely specific scene from some bizarre film your cousin owned, but you can't really recall the plot. We've got good news for you. In Throwback Theater, our four hosts will track down and revisit these old movies to answer one question: Does It Hold Up? Each episode, a new movie will be reviewed and discussed as mostly sober adults to figure out what we remember, what we liked about it in the first place, and how we feel about it now. Join us in our quest to relive (or maybe destroy) our childhood.

Ep. 155 - Baby Geniuses
I'm tired and lazy so here's the first few paragraphs of the movie from Wikipedia.
Baby Geniuses is a 1999 American family comedy film directed by Bob Clark and written by Clark and Greg Michael, from a story by Clark, Steven Paul, Francisca Matos, and Robert Grasmere. It stars Kathleen Turner, Christopher Lloyd, Kim Cattrall, Peter MacNicol, and Ruby Dee.
The film has the distinction of being the first full-length feature to use computer-generated imagery for the synthesis of human visual speech. 2D warping techniques were used to digitally animate the mouth viseme shapes of the babies which were originally shot with their mouths closed. The viseme shapes were sampled from syllables uttered by the babies on the set.
Baby Geniuses was almost universally panned by critics, who lambasted its acting, humor, special effects, writing, and directing, but it grossed $36.5 million worldwide against a production budget of $12 million. In 2004, it was followed by a sequel, Superbabies: Baby Geniuses 2, which was a box office bomb, and received even worse critical reviews, receiving a nomination for Worst Picture at the 25th Golden Raspberry Awards.

We're back, and this one is not a dinosaur's tale.
This week we take a look at a local, Pittsburgh film, "Inspector Gadget" starring Matthew Broderick, Rupert Everett, Andy Dick, and Michelle Trachtenberg. In this film, we get to see all the beautiful sights of Pittsburgh as our hero hoses down his love interest with 5 gallons of toothpaste from his sleeve. That's probably not the official description that you'd read on the back cover, but it should be.
