We begin our study of the Spiritual Gifts, with Wisdom, which is competence with regard to the complex realities of life. It's the wisdom of God, not man's.

John 10:1-11
God does speak to us today, but we need to recognize His voice. We must know His character, as made clear in the Bible. Then we need to wait on Him, not just talking all the time. As we are still, and open up ourselves to His guidance, we can sense His presence. If he guides us in some way, we need to take the risk of obedience.

Galatians 5:13-23
Life with the Holy Spirit involves recognizing his presence with us daily. It means letting go of those fleshly desires and lifestyles. We may wrestle with sinful thoughts and deeds, but the Holy Spirit is there to help us manifest the positive fruits. As we consciously take steps to avoid sin, the Holy Spirit empowers us to overcome. We're actually unable to successfully do so on our own.

Ephesians 1:13-15; 5:18
As we continue the series on "Life with the Holy Spirit", we see our need to be filled with the Spirit. The Holy Spirit comes to dwell in us when we accept Christ as our personal Savior, but we need to pray that the Holy Spirit fills our whole being. We need to empty ourselves and make room for him to work through us in power and wisdom.

We begin a several week series on "Life With The Holy Spirit". In this first sermon, we see who the Holy Spirit is, and how he's been manifest from creation until now. He was involved in the life of Jesus from his birth to his resurrection. Currently, the Spirit enables God’s work of salvation, and enables us to experience that salvation daily.

Psalm 23
As we look at the 23rd Psalm, we are reminded that God is a loving Shepherd, who cares for each of his sheep. We can be assured that He is always leading us to places that meet our needs. No matter the valleys we may face, He is there to strengthen and restore us. We need not fear the future. We can trust His loving heart.
