    Episode 10 - Myth Busters #1

    Episode 10 - Myth Busters #1

This may be one of our best podcast episodes yet. Full of unexpected content, the original intent of this episodes was to take common treatment modalities utilized by physical therapists, expose their flaws and lack of evidentiary support, and offer more evidence based suggestions. What emerged was a rich dialogue between some of the best in the fields of neuroscience, evidence based practice (EBP), pain science and orthopedics, and innovative practice. Join Drs. Tyler Cuddeford, Andrew Meszaros (Chris P. Bacon), Jeff Houck, and Dan Kang in this round table discussion meant to push the boundaries of PT forward.

The first 18 minutes Dan discusses a patient case in low back pain - if you'd like to fast forward to get to the meat of the podcast. However, it was left in for a reason...

    Enjoy!

Episode 9 - Footwear Part II - Dr. Tyler Cuddeford

Episode 9 - Footwear Part II - Dr. Tyler Cuddeford

Tyler is back to discuss footwear and injuries. Last week we discussed the composition of a shoe, and this week we tackle how much it matters.

If injury is really just the body failing to adapt to stress put on it, does footwear actually matter? What about a firm versus soft midsole? Do flat feet require shoes with higher arches? How much should my patients increase their mileage to avoid injury? These topics and MORE on this episode of TME.
