    Sports Takeover #19: 07/24/2013

Nick Licursi, along w/ Co-Host Brandon Jackson & former Ravens Pre/Post Game Show Host Steve Ash took over the Bad Tomato Radio Studios for a much needed night of Great Sports Talk.

They started the night by touching on some of the biggest news of the day, from Dustin Pedroia signing his 8yr/$110M deal w/ the Boston Red Sox to Alex Rodriguez’s Personal Doctor going on the radio in NY to discuss that Aroid isn’t hurt. Since Alex Rodriguez was brought into the conversation you know that the liar & cheater Ryan Braun came into the MLB/Steroids talk.

Taking advantage of having a Baltimore Sports Insider like Steve Ash, Nick obviously took advantage of his knowledge on the happenings in Raven-Nation.

They even getting into the talk about who is the biggest impact player coming off of not playing due to injury last season. You might be surprised at the answer.

All this and some up to date scores on the PBA Tour’s US Open, guess who’s leading, on this episode of Sports Takeover!

LIVE ON OUR NEW NIGHT FROM THE BADTOMATO.FM STUDIOS.

Since Conservative Ken & No Philter Phil were LIVE in studio while Tom from the Tom & Suzie Show produced, MC from The Hater Nation had to make sure that all of the NTN Radio Shows were represented on the NEW NIGHT of Sports Takeover.

Plenty of Baseball on tonight’s show. Plenty to talk about with the MLB All Star Game & Home Run Derby just ending. Nick goes over his first half Cy Young & MVP Awards for the NL & AL.  Nick and Ken even got into a conversation about Miguel Cabrera possibly being on steroids.

We didn’t forget you MMA & UFC fans while we talked with John from ClinchReport.com about UFC 162, and especially his thoughts on the Anderson Silva v. Chris Weidman fight.

    SportsTakeover #17: 06/27/2013

Tonight’s episode of Sports Takeover brought you a 7 Time PBA Tour Champion and the shows first International caller in Jason Belmonte.  Nick was really excited about the call until Belmo told him that he will be sending him the bill for the call.  Although threatened with a big bill, Nick and guest co-host Brandon Jackson knew that they were not cutting this interview short.  They discussed the 2 Handed Craze, what it’s like to defeat Wes Mallot, and who his dream match up would be.

Brandon and Nick also got into some Major League Baseball talk, including a little back and forth about what those damn Philadelphia Phillies plan on doing at the trade deadline with Cliff Lee.  While they disagreed on Cliff Lee staying or not, they both agreed that Manny Machado in Baltimore is a talent that all Orioles fans should make it to the ballpark for.

Obviously, with the MLB All Star Game right around the corner, Football Funday Nick and Brandon got into some of the leaders in the All Star Game voting.  Did the fans actually get some of these votes right?  Find out here on Sports Takeover!

    SportsTakeover #16: 06/20/2013

Is Roy Nelson finished in the UFC? That is exactly what Nick wanted to know at the start of the show! UFC 161 as well as wether or not Roy Nelson was put in a short notice match for his final match in of his UFC contract on purpose.

Nick also broke down what’s going right for the Oakland Athletics, and if they are bound to get even better in the second half? While in Southern California, those pesky Friars in San Diego seemed to become relevant in the NL West. Will that last?

This past Tuesday brought you the PBA Tour’s Wolf Open, Nick put that on review, especially w/ precious Takeover guest Bill O’Neill running the gauntlet to the Championship Match.

Since this is Game night, and what a Gm 7 it turned out to be, Nick delivered his Top 5 Gm 7 Memories. Plenty of great match ups, but what were the Top 5? You know what to do…..
