In this episode, we sit with Mike Pasalacqua from Harper Lane Brewery.  Mike tells us how brewing a small batch of beer at home led to opening his brewery and taproom years later.  We talked about the stages of growth and what it was like for a tenant brewing before opening his own space.  Now that the new brewery is up and running, it has allowed Mike to can beer instead of just bottling; we discussed that process, coming up with label concepts and distribution.  Mike also told us about some plans that are in the works for the taproom and what to expect there in the future!

We discuss Joe’s history playing in bands and the latest Edict news.  Besides music, we take a deep dive into his career as a firefighter/paramedic.  He tells us how a voluntary health scan program that he helped set up for his department ultimately led to his cancer diagnosis just before the Bury Your Dead reunion shows that were already sold out.  Self-care, health, and fulfillment were common themes in this episode, and we are excited for you to hear what it all means to Joe.
