nigerian men & marriage: a conversation.
Have you ever heard the stereotype that Nigerian men are players? Maybe you have, likely, you haven’t. I sure had (and experienced it) and wanted to discuss it. So I pulled together some of Nigeria's finest (you can laugh), and we had a lil’ chat about why Nigerian men are the way they are…listen in!
It’s slightly embarrassing to say but this conversation was a type of therapy for me, lol. Getting into these guys’ heads helped me understand them and how they relate to the world around them. Big thank you to Glory, Rukky, Feji & Sosa, for enlightening us all. I couldn't have done this episode without you guys. -
choose JOY!
I didn’t see this episode coming…but God did! Listen in on a spontaneous conversation with my friend Joy. I never met a 14-year-old with so many words of wisdom.

fasting observed.
ep. 10: bonus episode: fasting observed.
I am aware that the Bible says to practice spiritual things in private, and make it between God and yourself (Matthew 6:6, 17-18) and if this appears to disobey that, please hear my heart. I made this episode to shine a light on a not-so-common spiritual practice in American Christianity. It’s something deeply woven into the spiritual life of Nigerians and other ethnic backgrounds. It’s something I’ve always found extremely challenging. My motive is simply awareness, self-reflection, and hopefully, someone will resonate with my experience and be encouraged. Furthermore, for me, documenting things always makes them more exciting and enjoyable. Lastly, I hope you find the episode interesting to listen to, and that you’re led to listen to more! ~ okayobi -
