Located near Luxor, Egypt, the "Valley of the Kings" is over 400+ miles away from the Great pyramids in the north - a 7+ hour car drive away. The Valley of the Kings is one of the most famous archaeological sites in the world, which really began to garner significant attention following the discovery of the tomb of Tutankhamun in 1922.
