We often tell teens, "Camp relationships don't work" and while the Rhodes' relationship isn't technically a camp one it's still a beautiful story of how God moves in mysterious ways.

February 3, 2023-Zach McConnell has survived many youth camps
Zach McConnell was on campus once again with Mandi Smith to recruit students to the outstanding residency programs at Linwood and Ransom Churches in South Dakota. Zach has served as a youth pastor at a variety of churches and has experienced different district youth camps. On this episode, he shares about some of his experiences at Victory Mountain Camp(including the birth of the Guys Refuel Retreat) and Cedar Canyon camp. We are both big believers that camping ministry should be a foundational part of any youth ministry.

Alyssa McClung Loves the Mud Pit
Alyssa McClung, a sophomore at Daniel High School, sat down with me at the Wesleyan Pastor's Gathering to talk about Table Rock Wesleyan Youth Camp. We discussed tubeamania and the mud pit along with her disappointment that Sumo wrestling got cut short due to a thunderstorm this year. Alyssa attends Trinity Wesleyan where her father, Mike, is the pastor. She co-hosts a podcast called But They Don't for the Pickens County Behavioral Health Services that you can find here. Alyssa sings on the worship team at church and loves eating ice cream with her friends.
