E5. Got a Significant Other? Are you Unemployed? | Heather Ann Koehn Employment Straight Talk
-
- Sociedad y cultura
Are you in a relationship or are you being supported by family?
... I'm specifically directing this question at those that are or ever have been in transition.
It's a rough situation, am I right? I mean, we all want a new role, but it's a special feat in 2020 to find a role earning more than $45K or 100% commission. Between the pandemic, the recession and the political turmoil it's a special time to be alive. It's particularly important to have active support of loved ones. This includes romantic interests, immediate family, extended family and friends.
Unemployment is hard on all of them too. They are either directly financially impacted or they live in great fear that it will happen to them and are living the strife, depression and occasional bouts of fear through you, am I right? I know I am. You know I am.
The best posture is cool, calm, collected ... even jovial, but of course not too jovial.
Everyone that is unemployed is told by others to enjoy this time, but enjoyment is elusive when stress is high. Even at the best of times, each of us buries the stress because of course, who wants to see that? No one.
The strategy: Keep on keeping on. Cool. Calm. Collected. Panic under Wraps.
I hope you enjoy this episode.
A special thanks to my family.
