Welcome to another edition of the Florida Appellate Review Case Law Update. In this week’s episode (July 13, 2021), Palm Beach County Justice Association Board Members Andrew Harris and Jennifer Dinetz discussed a trio of cases addressing:

•An Engle progeny case where an attorney’s improper closing argument resulted in a new trial;
•The “boarding” of past medical bills for a plaintiff who is a Medicare recipient, with the Fourth District certifying a question of great public importance to the Florida Supreme Court; and
•An appellate court’s referral of an attorney to the Florida Bar after the attorney engaged in improper conduct towards the opposing party and opposing counsel in trial proceedings.
