Few subjects in Christianity have as much confusion, mystery, or just lack of knowledge around it as the topic of the Holy Spirit. So, in this series, we’re going to address it head-on, and explore what the Bible says about the oftentimes “forgotten” Third Person of the Trinity: God the Holy Spirit.

In this message, we see that once the Holy Spirit has come to indwell believers in Jesus Christ, things begin to change within us. Once we know who He is and what He does in an overarching sense, we can look more personally at the next question, "What does the Holy Spirit do IN US?" The answer: He begins to produce the Fruit of the Spirit. Healthy things grow. So, if we're spiritually healthy, these things will begin to grow in our lives.

It's easy to come up with an excuse not to share the Gospel with someone. Sometimes it might seem like an inconvenience due to time, or you simply need the reminder that the Gospel is not anything to be ashamed of. Whatever it may be that makes us hesitant, we learn in this series about the heart of why we both show and share the good news of Jesus Christ with great joy.

This week, Brent Cummings, our Young Adults Pastor, wraps up this series on evangelism by giving three practical methods to use when sharing the gospel. One of the most common reasons people give as to why they don't share their faith is because they feel like they don't know how. In this message, we tackle that problem head-on, and offer the methods of 1) Sharing your story, 2) the Romans Road, and 3) the Three Circles. In the end, it is not a question of "Why should we?", but “Why not?” After all, it's the greatest news that should be shared with the greatest joy!

This week, Brandon Barnard, one of our Teaching Pastors at Fellowship, continues our series on evangelism by encouraging us to not just know the gospel in our minds, not just "show" the gospel with our actions, but actually share the gospel with our words. We have a responsibility to share the good news of Jesus with our neighbors, and also with the nations. When we feel burdened for others to come to know Christ, we'll gladly and lovingly tell them about the Savior who can rescue them and give them new life. In the end, it is not a question of "Why should we?", but “Why not?” After all, it's the greatest news that should be shared with the greatest joy!

Whatever it may be that makes you hesitant, we learn in this series about the heart of why we both show and share the good news of Jesus Christ with great joy.


This week we kicked off our series on evangelism with Brock Dowdy, Young Adult Resident, who preached through the story of the woman at the well in John 4. She went from not looking for Jesus, to Jesus satisfying her greatest needs. She couldn’t help but share the good news of Jesus with others immediately after He changed her life. In our own lives, it is by the grace of the God that that we should be compelled to share the Gospel with others. In the end, it is not a question of why should I, but “why not”? After all, it is the greatest news that deserves to be shared with the greatest joy!
