ARNAUD DIRCKX: The sea has always been an element of inspiration for me. The fact that, in the picture, the man's brain is replaced by a stormy sea shows the torments of this thoughts. The music used in the mix-tape shows the unpredictable character of the sea. The songs vary from calm and peaceful to dark and deep atmosphere. The sea brings not only joy but also sadness... Exactly like a tormented man. SNAKE EAT LION: Bleed the sky - When I saw this image the first thing that came to mind was a road trip crossed with an acid trip (haha). Although that might sound a bit hectic, the image does have some kind of calm feel to it, as if everything is going to be okay. I put my mix together as if it was a playlist to a road trip down the coast on a misty morning with a rainbow shining through. I would describe this set as a combination of Deep House & Progressive house with a little trance touch (which I cannot deny are my roots). JAMES MAC: The of photo lion with the unusually colourful mouth inspired me into doing a slightly more traditional club sounding mix however in following the colourful twist seen in the photo I decided to gear my track selection in the same way. A straightforward house mix but with slightly more emphasis in choosing tracks that contained disco elements really helped to represent the colourful side in the mix. EKHO: The photo that inspired me to put together this mix was mad random and gangster. So i begin the mix with F’s i give because the gents in the picture didn’t seem to give any.
