We’re all so used to turning to our phones for information, but how exactly does it travel across the internet…and what happens if that information is wrong? Renée DiResta is the perfect expert to break it all down for us! Jonathan and Renée dig into the differences and potential dangers of misinformation, disinformation, and propaganda. From generative AI and Father Coughlin, to political polarization and being subpoenaed by Jim Jordan, we cover it all.

Renée DiResta is the Research Manager at the Stanford Internet Observatory where she investigates the spread of malign narratives across social networks, and assists policymakers in understanding and responding to the problem. She has advised Congress, the State Department, and other academic, civic, and business organizations, and has studied disinformation and computational propaganda in the context of pseudoscience conspiracies, terrorism, and state-sponsored information warfare. How Smart Women Become Prey to Manipulators | Stephanie Quayle and Dr. Keith PT 1

Get ready for this episode of Women of Impact all about how to spot the charming, seemingly “nice guy” narcissists who are out on the hunt for smart and successful women like you to use and suck the confidence right out of!!
This interview will teach you how to take your power back so you don’t feel small, stupid, and powerless for years in an unhealthy and toxic relationship, and actually HEAL from the wounds so you don’t end up broken, full of shame, insignificant, and in the same toxic situation…again!
And today’s guests here to help with that are Stephanie Quayle and Dr. Keith.
Stephanie is a successful country singer, and her story is insaaaaaane! For 4 years, she was with a seemingly “nice” guy who actually had multiple secret lives while attending his funeral after his unexpected death! He was prolifically cheating on her and lying to her and she had no idea until she was at his funeral!
It wasn’t until she finally got professional help from experts in narcissism, like psychologist Dr. Keith, that she was able to begin to let go of the shame and break the cycle of toxic relationships!!
When anyone is able to recognize their relationship for the toxic and unhealthy situation that it is, then they can actually DO something about it, and that’s what I want for you from this episode, homie!!

How to Make the Honeymoon Phase Last a Lifetime | Relationship Theory

How to Make the Honeymoon Phase Last a Lifetime | Relationship Theory

Aging for men and women can be a drastically different experience. While men are often more highly valued with age for resources, women tend to be valued more for physical beauty that fades with time. How do you reconcile with the inevitability of physical changes from aging and the desire to have your partner always find you attractive? Long-term relationships are so much more than physical beauty, but there is a level of self-confidence and pride you take in how you look and how you feel for yourself and your partner. As looks fade and your confidence shifts, can you look at each other and be just as attracted as when you were 20 something? In this episode Tom and Lisa discuss commitment over attraction and how focusing on a shared experience, enjoying the phases of life is what’s working after 19 years of marriage. [Original air date: 4-25-21].

    SHOW NOTES:
Inverse Attraction | Loving each phase of the relationship as physical attraction changes [0:28]
Commitment | Tom on being anchored to a shared experience of life with Lisa [1:32]
Attracted to Others | Why commitment trumps attraction and being an antifragile partner [3:03]
Enjoy Phases | Lisa’s tip to enjoy every phase for what it is and and work on self-esteem [5:48]

    QUOTES:
“So we are together because we're sharing a life and I believe to the core of my existence.” Tom Bilyeu [2:35]

“enjoy it for what it is instead of like, always mourning what the last phase, like really enjoy it.” Lisa Bilyeu [6:21]
