Your latest episode on ‘spoil’ was rather interesting and thought-provoking. I would like to point out, however, that you might have failed to present one important argument - the interpretation of ‘spoil’. Like any good discussion, the preceding step is to first define the word ‘spoil’. ‘How something appears is always a matter of perspective’. A simple discussion among friends over the ending of a particular movie would be perceived as a harmless casual dinner table talk to those who have watched, and a ‘selfish and abusive’ discussion to those who have not. To accuse someone of spoiling therefore needs to take into account their intention and awareness of whether or not one of their companions have watched the movie.
