The Lion and The Mouse | Aesop tale read aloud

The Lion and The Mouse | Aesop tale read aloud

The Lion and The Mouse an Aesop Fable read aloud

A Lion lay asleep in the forest, his great head resting on his paws. A timid little Mouse came upon him unexpectedly, and in her fright and haste to get away, ran across the Lion's nose. Roused from his nap, the Lion laid his huge paw angrily on the tiny creature to kill her.  "Spare me!" begged the poor Mouse. "Please let me go and some day I will surely repay you."  The Lion was much amused to think that a Mouse could ever help him. But he was generous and finally let the Mouse go.

Charlotte's Web: Chapter 22 'A Warm Wind' by E.B. White FINAL CHAPTER | Children Book Read Aloud

Back in the barn cellar again, Wilbur tucks Charlotte's egg sac into a safe corner. The other animals are glad to have him back, and Mr. Zuckerman hangs his medal on a nail over the pigpen. As the days pass, Wilbur often thinks of Charlotte. He misses his friend.

But autumn comes, and then winter. Wilbur sees his first snow. He remembers his promise to Templeton and always lets the rat eat first when the trough has been filled. Indeed, Templeton has grown so big and fat he looks like a woodchuck. As the winter passes, Wilbur looks forward to seeing Charlotte's children hatch. "Life is always a rich and steady time when you are waiting for something to happen or to hatch," comments the narrator.
