MDTribe - Board Certified Urologist, Dr. Fenwa Milhouse MDTribe

Hello December! Welcome back for another episode of #MDTribe ! This week Dr. Fenwa Milhouse, Board Certified Urologist & specialist in Female Pelvic Medicine & Reconstructive Surgery, shares her unique journey to medicine. Dr. Milhouse is a University of Texas Alumn where she joined Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc. prior to attending medical school. She shares how she discovered Urology, what her day to day looks like, her favorite procedures, embracing stereotypes, & more! As a Nigerian woman, she recognizes that she is a minority in her field but instead of being deterred or intimidated, she allowed this to empower her & utilizes her platform to empower others to pursue careers in Urology and surgery in general! She currently practices in Illinois and is a mother to three children! She is an advocate for diversifying the medical field & strives to inspire minorities to overcome any barriers they may face!
