'Travesty of Justice': Evan Gershkovich's Closed-Door Trial

The Wall Street Journal's reporter Evan Gershkovich, currently jailed in Russia, faces his espionage trial today after being imprisoned for over a year. The United States declared Gershkovich wrongfully detained, despite Russia's claims that he was working as a spy and not a journalist. The Journal also rejects the espionage charge, calling it a bogus claim. Since Evan was first detained, the media organization has been urging for his safe return. Assistant Editor at The Wall Street Journal, Paul Beckett, joins to bring awareness to Evan's wrongful detention and its implications for all journalists.
WikiLeaks founder Julian Assange has been freed from prison in England after reaching a plea deal with the United States. The bargain ends a years-long saga in the United States seeking the extradition of Assange on espionage charges. Assange is set to appear in front of a United States' court in Saipan, where he will be sentenced to time served, and then travel back to his home country of Australia. FOX News contributor and former CIA Station Chief Dan Hoffman joins to discuss the crimes that Assange committed and the impact that Wikileaks had on the intelligence community and American national security at large.

Debate On Gender-Affirming Care Heads To The High Court

The Supreme Court announced that they will be taking up a case next term that will determine the legality of a state's ban on gender-affirming care for minors. The ruling in the case, which originated in Tennessee, could determine whether or not there are constitutional protections for gender identity. Constitutional Law Professor and FOX News Contributor Jonathan Turley joins the Rundown to discuss the implications of the case, why he finds it interesting that the High Court decided to hear this case, and touches upon his new book, "The Indispensable Right."
Thirty-five percent of people believe that tipping culture in the United States is out of control. However, for many in the service industry, tips are the main source of income. Former President Trump has spent the last few weeks floating the idea of making tips exempt from taxable income, which could prove to be an appealing pledge for working-class voters. On the podcast, Sean Kennedy, the executive vice president of public affairs at the National Restaurant Association, explained how this change would help workers in service and hospitality take home more money than they ever have before.
Plus, commentary by former Congressman Jason Chaffetz, host of "The Jason in the House Podcast."

Business Rundown: "The One-Two Punch" In The Housing Market

Business Rundown: "The One-Two Punch" In The Housing Market

Record-high home prices in May have dried up summer sales, and retail sales floundered as consumers are feeling the inflation pinch. Could the Fed come to the rescue with an anticipated rate cut, or must Americans continue to pull back their pocketbooks in a summer of high prices?
FOX Business' Gerri Willis speaks with the CEO of Mahoney Asset Management, Ken Mahoney, about all of this and more.
They cover homebuyers' shrinking budgets as media housing prices hit record levels, how inflation is driving consumer spending down, and why economists should be "careful what they wish for" when it comes to Fed rate cuts.

Why The GOP House Leader Is Hopeful About November

It is a critical stage in the 2024 Presidential campaign, as this week, President Biden and former President Trump are due to square off in the CNN Presidential Debate. It is the first time since 1892 that each of the candidates will have a term of service in the White House to point to on the campaign trail. Speculation remains about who former President Trump will select as his running mate with North Dakota Governor Doug Burgum, Florida Senator Marco Rubio, and Ohio Senator J.D. Vance as the leading contenders. House Majority Leader Steve Scalise (R-LA) joins FOX News Senior Correspondent Mike Emanuel for a conversation on this and more.

Microplastics are in pretty much everything: from the environment, the little beads in your hand sanitizer, and even inside your body. Most synthetic fabrics like polyester, nylon, and spandex are formed from microplastics and pollute the ocean when washing machines drain. However, Julia Yan has developed a solution and co-founded Baleena, a company that developed an award-winning filter for washing machines. Yan joins the podcast to break down exactly what microplastics are, how people can limit microplastic pollution, and describe how Baleena's filter works.

Plus, commentary from former U.S. State Department spokesperson Morgan Ortagus.
