"Voices" intends to be a weekly series featuring Black storytellers across the Pacific Northwest. Each week, invited guests come into our studio to share true, personal stories related to a pre-selected theme.

In episode 101, "All About the First Time", a storyteller shares an incredible tale about his long lost grandfather and listeners find out what happens when an aspiring gangster rapper catches stage fright. One storyteller tells us about the time when she finally built up the courage to shoot her shot and…nothing happened. Music in this episode features Seattle rapper, Dave B.
