14. Outdoor Instructor Chat with JP Edgington
JP Edgington joined me for this episode of Outdoor Instructor Chat. JP is someone that has no doubt help to influence my work doing instructor 101. We discuss Heuristic traps, Normalisation of deviation and the Expert Halo. These are some really powerful concepts for any outdoor instructor.
Amongst many other things, JP has set up the Professional Edge Project and Sometimes monkeys fall out of trees(Links Below.) Using his knowledge and experience to help people build on their professional excellence and personal effectiveness.

13. Outdoor Instructor Chat with Ray Goodwin
Ray Goodwin joined me for this episode of Outdoor Instructor Chat. It was an absolute pleasure being able to chat with him. Ray is someone that is highly respected in the Outdoor Industry and for good reason. Amongst some of his many achievements are MIC, Level 5 Inland Kayak, Sea Kayak and Canoe. His canoe journeys include the first circumnavigation of Wales and the first unsupported canoe crossing of the Irish Sea. On top of all of this, in 2019 he was awarded an MBE for services in Canoeing.
Things that we discussed: Learning new skills, the psychological aspect of coaching, the problem with learning styles, How to deal with "What clients want to be coached in vs. What they need to be coached in?" Analysing yourself as a coach and the all-important Quickfire(ish) Questions. There are some real gems of info in this chat, accompanied with lots of great little anecdotes.

12. Outdoor Instructor Chat with Adventure Otaku
Brett from Adventure Otaku joined us for this Outdoor Instructor Chat. Brett is someone who I have followed on social media (Instagram and Youtube) for a long time and just as I expected there was heaps of useful information that came out of this chat. Brett is an Outdoor Educator based in North Carolina, who primarily teaches kayaking, navigation and wilderness medicine, with nearly 20 years of experience.

Anthony Barret joined me for this episode of Outdoor Instructor chat and is someone that continually motivates me to push myself inside and outside of the outdoor instructor world.
