Beyond the civilized worlds lie the Five Rings, a cluster of planets racked by storms. Ezz Bennil is a storm runner, making her living off collecting the valuable crystals that form on these dangerous worlds with the help of her attentive (and somewhat reluctant) ship A.I., Boat. But a chance encounter with a deadly new threat forces Ezz and Boat to embark on an epic journey across the stars in an effort to save the world. Er, worlds. Plural. All of them.

Desperate for fuel, Ezz tracks down some erstwhile allies. A figure from her past helps to orchestrate a daring escape. Boat disapproves of pretty much everything going on. That last sentence might as well be the tagline for the series.

Between the Rings - Sound Design and Soundtrack
This week we're going supersonic by jumping into all things sound. Aaron shares how he develops the myriad sound effects for the show, while Kevin talks about the diegesis of our score. All in preparation for Episode 7, which just might be our most ambitious episode to date.

This week we deep dive into Ezz's (reluctantly) faithful companion, BOAT (Aaron Sida Ding). We dig into the character's inception and how the whole team worked to craft the AI we know and love today, from vocal performance to all the beeps and boops.

Ezz goes spelunking for the truth and makes an unlikely ally beneath the planet's surface. The Paumat continue their meddling. Boat draws a line in the sand. Ezz loves stepping right on over those.

Episode 3 - Space Troubles
Imprisoned aboard the Space Worm, Ezz finally gets a chance to stretch her legs when Droud needs someone to run an errand for him. He's not convinced the giant monster problem is really a problem. Let's hope he's right.
