Steve Jenkins career began as a DJ in the West Midlands in 1970, by 1973 he had started as a regional promoting manager at NEMS and Immediate Records. Chrysalis Records, MCA Records and Mountain Record would all add to his education before starting his own company, Impulse Promotions, in 1983. The success in this company would lead to Managing Director at Jive Records in 1989. By 1999, Jive Records was the largest independent record label in the world with artists like Britney Spears, The Backstreet Boys, R. Kelly, NSYNC, Steps, Justin Timberlake and many more.
