The ‘No-Bone-Cut-Down’ Replacement of All Missing Teeth with Pink-Free Restorations

The ‘No-Bone-Cut-Down’ Replacement of All Missing Teeth with Pink-Free Restorations

Dental implants have truly changed the lives of many patients with complete missing teeth. Treatments revolving around hybrid restorations, all-on-4 approach, and the teeth-in-a-day concept, have helped millions of patients regain their confidence and have a greater quality of life. But unfortunately, many such patients are being inappropriately channeled into a hybrid restoration model- one that is faster, easier, and cheaper, but not necessarily better. Many patients un-necessarily go through traumatic cut down of their jaw bone so they can get ‘fitted’ into a hybrid restoration, overlooking the alternative approach that preserves and augments tissues with much better aesthetic and functional results. In this episode, Dr. H. Ryan Kazemi discusses a ‘no-bone-cut-down’ approach with pink-free restorations to help patients with completely missing teeth get teeth resembling natural teeth.

Minimally Invasive Sinus Lift Bone Grafting For Dental Implants

Minimally Invasive Sinus Lift Bone Grafting For Dental Implants

Have you ever been told that you don’t have enough bone for implants because of your sinuses or that you need a sinus lift for getting dental implants? Although it sounds alarming, sinus lift is a relatively minor procedure which can now be done with minimally-invasive techniques with faster recovery and less complications.
In our last episode, we talked about how to prevent sinus perforations during dental implant placement, which can happen if there is insufficient height of bone due to sinus proximity and poor planning. A reliable and long-standing solution to bone deficiency in the back of the upper jaw bone has been the sinus lift bone grafting. Does it work? Absolutely. And is it predictable? Yes. But it is considered a moderately invasive surgical technique and if it is not done correctly can lead to complications including sinus infections. So, how can we create sufficient height of bone for support of dental implants and do it with less complications and quicker recovery for patients? In this episode, we’ll visit a new and remarkable minimally-invasive technique to do just that.
