    Millennium’s “Helping Ourselves” Group

    Millennium’s “Helping Ourselves” Group

As therapists, we need therapy too. In this episode, Devona Alleyne and Alexandra Bourlas discuss Millennium Counseling Center’s new group called Helping Ourselves.

Helping ourselves is a group mindfulness experience that offers support and learnings that may be absent when practicing. For our helping professionals. We are ready to support you!⁣

The term “mindfulness” is a particular way of paying attention to our present-moment reality, without judgement. We will use mindfulness to gain a wider perspective about the ways our experiences relate to our inner world. ⁣

The groups’ focus is to learn about various meditative practices, how to self-care, take note of our mind-body connection, and be conscious of our feelings, thoughts, and associations in relation to what is happening in the group.
