The Measure of Faith / Matthew 18:1-6



GREATNESS is not a RACE.

GREATNESS is CHOSEN but not CHASED.



Turn - REPENTANCE is a REQUIREMENT.

Repentance is a COMPLETE CHANGE in WHO, HOW, and WHAT we are.



Faith: UNHINDERED and UNMEASURED trust.

Faith is an INNOCENT, not FOOLISH, trust.



DISHONORED trust DESTROYS.

IMMEASURABLE DESTRUCTION is caused by those who ABUSE UNMEASURED TRUST.

God's provision is about LOVE not OBLIGATION

Gods provision is for YOU but it’s not about YOU.

If the Lord is truly our PROVIDER, we embrace the COST of doing what is RIGHT

Conquering Mountains
Matthew 17:14-21

Everyone comes down from the mountain. (Matthew 17:14-16)

We are deceived into believing that the way things are right now is how they
will always be. (Matthew 17:17-20a)

Limited desperation leads to limited faith.

Your success can become an enemy to your dependence on God. (Matthew 17:20b-24)

All things are possible, not because of the depth (size) of your faith, but
the direction of it.

Every impossible situation is subject to King Jesus.

1. There is a difference between hearing and experiencing

2. We cannot encounter Jesus without being affected

3. Jesus stands ALONE – Listen to Him

4. Proper expectation comes from proper understanding

Signs: Signs Too Clear to Miss

Matthew 16:24-28

Real Truth about Jesus Following:

-Denial gets draining.

-Dying becomes difficult.

-Following is mostly fun.

Signs I am Serious about Jesus:

1. Losing myself yet beginning to like myself.

2. Leaving my life yet loving my life.

3. Knowing I’m in without knowing what I’m in for.

4. Being dissatisfied with where I am yet satisfied where I am.

The Signs We Don’t See


Matthew 16:21-23 & 17:22-23 & 20:17-19

The key to visibility is availability.

We seek out what we are set on.

Why do we miss the Lord’s signs?


1. We don’t want to go where God is going. Right action does not always mean right direction.


2. We have already planned where we are going. What do you count most – your costs or God’s gifts?


3. We don’t want to do what God is doing. Jesus does hard things - be ready.


4. We have already planned what God should do. Our plans will never accomplish Gods purposes.

Am I on the way or am I in the way?
