In today’s episode, we step into a moment where crowds are pressing in from every side—people eager to see Jesus, hear Him, and be healed. But then, something quieter—and just as important—happens. Jesus goes up on a mountainside… and begins calling people to Himself. One by one, He chooses twelve men—very different from each other—to be His apostles. But this wasn’t random.     Mark 3:1–6 In today’s story, Jesus enters a synagogue on the Sabbath and meets a man with a shriveled hand. While others watch closely—waiting to see if Jesus will break their rules—Jesus does something unexpected. He heals. But instead of celebrating, the religious leaders become angry. Why? Because they cared more about their rules… than people. In this episode, we explore what the Sabbath was meant to be, what the Pharisees misunderstood, and what it means to truly love God and others. 🔑 Key Truth God’s laws are rooted in love—and they teach us how to love Him and others well.     Easter part 5 BONUS: A Rooster and a Second Chance

From the quiet upper room, to the dark courtyard, and finally to breakfast on the beach, we’ll hear how Peter made a big promise to Jesus… and then broke it. But the story doesn’t end there. After Jesus rises from the dead, He lovingly gives Peter a second chance. This is a beautiful story of sadness, forgiveness, and hope—a reminder that Jesus never gives up on us, even when we mess up.   Big Ideas for Little Hearts: Jesus knows we’ll make mistakes, but He still loves us deeply. Peter denied Jesus three times, but Jesus forgave him and gave him a new job. Seeing the risen Jesus changed Peter from afraid to brave!     Easter part 4: He's Not Here; He's Alive!

    John 19, Matthew 28, Luke 23, & 1 Corinthians 15:55 In this powerful Easter episode, we continue our journey following the sorrow of the cross to the joy of the resurrection. Joseph of Arimathea and Nicodemus lovingly bury Jesus, and guards are posted at the tomb. But on the third day, something incredible happens—Jesus rises from the dead! With awe and joy, the women discover the empty tomb and meet Jesus alive again. Children are reminded that the cross was not the end—Jesus conquered sin and death, just like He said He would. Because He lives, we have forgiveness and hope!     Easter part 3: The Saddest Day and the Greatest Gift

    Matthew 27, John18 & 19 , &  Luke 23  I want to respect each listener's ages and levels of understanding, so I have adapted some of this for the needs of our audience. Please go back and read the scriptures yourselves to include what is appropriate for your family. We begin our story with Jesus speaking with Pilate and end with the crucifixion. The kids will hear: -The meaning of the torn veil (listen to episode #281 to go further) -This was God's plan; there were no mistakes, no surprises. Jesus chose to lay down His life, and by doing so, Jesus took the weight of every sin, past, present, and future. -It's not always as it seems. The cross is not the end of the story.
