In this episode I'm sharing the insights me and my students had after comparing them speaking in their 'moedertaal' and in het Nederlands.

Spoiler:

It's so much more relaxed to speak in a language you don't have to think about.

It's less hard work for your brain.

But it also get easier when we train the brain.

This is what we do in the Dutch Confidence course. We train your brain to speak more fluently in Dutch, so that you don't have to think so much anymore. This way you'll feel less tired, less overwhelmed and stressed and less likely to say 'sorry ik spreek niet zo goed Nederlands'.

And then you can finally go and join that singing/pottery/running/book-club or be more actively involved at school or work-activities which you never dared before because of the language barrier.
