In Late February, Jay Greenstein and I hosted a Salon Dinner at Parker Vegas for a hand-selected party of 8.

What is a Salon Dinner?
“In the 17th and 18th centuries, salons became popular venues for philosophical, political, and other moderated conversations. Women were the center of salon life. They selected the topic, invited guests and directed the conversation throughout the event. While these events were social, there was always a theme of education and idea sharing. Today, salons are having a revival moment. In our digital age, we have unlimited access to information and various feeds of opinions to consume. Modern day salons are bridging the gap between information sharing and face-to-face interactions. Bringing meaningful discussion topics to the dinner table or happy hour has created an avenue for people to share thoughts and solve problems in a social environment.” - Cameron Cler

We chose the topic of the disconnect between private practice owners and DCs looking for great jobs. We dove into the struggle to afford great teams and to find great jobs. We kept the conversation on track and had a great time working through ideas to help start the dialogue of improvement.

In this episode, I discuss some of the takeaways from the Salon Dinner and other professional aspects.
