Episode 3: Miah Im, conductor, pianist, and Director of Opera at the Shepherd School of Music at Rice University, and Music Director of Houston Grand Opera Studio joins Tim for a pre-holiday Gin Martini, and a discussion about Miah’s work at Rice and at the L. A. Opera prompting on Ghosts of Versailles with Patti Lupone. Miah’s upbringing in Canada, and her father’s defection from North Korea, and his poetry made into a piece premiered by the L.A.
