I created this monthly podcast series out of my desire to understand my birth country. I left it when I was just a teenager. I welcome your feedback and I would love to hear any suggestion on topics you want me to talk about. In the end however, nothing is like being there. Let me invite you to visit this extra ordinary country at your earliest opportunity. Now here is my story
INTERVIEW WITH ANNISA HANINGSIH
Annisa Haningsih and I became good friends ever since. I met her at one of the Travel Shows I participated in New York City. Annisa was born and raised in Solo Indonesia, the same city the current president of Indonesia comes from. Her aspiration to promote her beloved country came from many years of hosting international visitors at her home sometimes for free using “couch serving” application platform.
ANGKLUNG, Music Instruments
on this episode of my series of "To KNOW Indonesia and to make Indonesia KNOWN," I am introducing you to the music of the Sundanese people of West Java, Indonesia
Where in the world is Indonesia?
Unless you lives in Los Angeles, San Francisco, or New York City, chances are you don't know where Indonesia is. Listened to this episode of my podcast to know where this amazing country is.

The Javanese Gamelan Ensembles.
Growing up in the heart of the cultural center of Yogyakarta, the sound of gamelan music are nothing new for me. However, I regret that today, that is all I can do, listen. I don't know how to play it. I wish it was different. To think of learning this percussion instrument at my age is reminding me the saying you can't teach old dog a new trick. I settle with the enjoyment of listening.. . :)
This podcast episode are series of podcasts created to fulfill my desire to "KNOW INDONESIA and to MAKE INDONESIAN KNOWN." On this first episode I am explaining the Gamelan Ensembles, one of the traditional musics of Indonesian people who occupied the islands of Sumatra, Java and Bali, with most popularity concentrated in the central Java and Bali. Enjoy!
