Coach Colwell is only a 6 year veteran in softball coaching, however, she has already embarked on early success in her run as a varsity softball coach. in this last episode of our WOMEN IN SPORTS Series, we dive into Culture, coaching style, and overall philosophy and approach towards her coaching endeavors. Coach Maxwell shares with us how she got her start into coaching, her coaching philosophy, and also talks about how meaningful relationships and mentors have continued to help her along her coaching journey at JC. Furthermore, Coach Maxwell is also a person of faith, and firmly stands on the principles of building up young people for life long success. Females in sports is very challenging, so Coach Maxwell also discusses some of the obstacles and challenges that she has faced and how she has overcome them as an African-American coach.
